ScreenSnag is a free screen capture utility which easily creates snapshots or your full screen or a selected area of your screen.
ScreenSnag features a plain user interface with easily accessible features. Everything ScreenSnag has to offer is contained within the main window.
You can opt to capture either the entire screen or a selected area of an application window. Screenshots create may either be copied to the clipboard or saved to a file on your disk; BMP, PNG and JPG are the available saving formats.
ScreenSnag also provides tools to scale images, a timer and choosing whether or not the cursor should be hidden from screenshots. You can save settings as separate profiles for quick access to the same settings in the future.
Finally, screenshots can either be displayed as a preview or hidden before they are saved to disk.
